Our Graduates
A formal graduation is held when a student completes Level 2. To graduate, students undergo a formal examination.
The examination consists of theory and practical questions (playing a selection of lessons from the Level 1 and Level 2 curriculum). The theory and practical components carry equal weighting. Students who have achieved at least 80% in both sections are eligible for graduation. Students who do not achieve 80% in both sections would be required to remain in Level 2 and continuously hone their skills, knowledge and competence and retake the formal examinations at the next scheduled examination date (some 6 months later).
The graduation ceremony is a milestone event in the student’s musical life,. Guru confers upon these graduates the title of Level 3 student which is currently the highest honour achievable at the tabla school. Level 3 students have reached the advanced learning stage.
